- Immun-wize
- Immun-wize is a derivative of the Utah County Immunization Coalition (UCIC) whose mission is to increase the number of adequately immunized infants, children, and adolescents who also receive immunizations in a timely manner, while concurrently addressing parental concerns. Our goal is to implement programs decreasing communicable disease by increasing timely vaccination among Utah County infants, children, and adolescents. In addition, we strive to accurately and adequately educate parents of the importance, necessity, and safety of vaccinations for their children.

I was just doing some research on the alleged relationship between diabetes and vaccines and found some very useful and informative non-governmental websites:

The National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance of Vaccine Preventable Diseases at The Children's Hospital at Westmead (The University of Sydney, Australia)
A variety of research as shown that there is NO relationship between the two, even though recent web-based articles claim otherwise.
Even though I believe immunizations are important, my oldest son couldn't receive them for awhile because he had a transplant and his immune system had to be suppressed. According to the transplant team, we needed to wait one year after his transplant to start immunizing him.
Unfortunately, he caught pertussis or whooping cough before he could be immunized against it. It was a complete nightmare! He was sick for months...on oxygen...hospitalized...needed breathing treatments every 2 hours. It was an awful experience as a parent because he couldn't breathe and I couldn't do anything to make it better.
Fortunately pertussis can be prevented with the DTP immunization. As soon as he could get his immunizations I took him in to see the doctor.
Thank you for your comments and research. Often times people are unwilling or uninformed on finding credible information on immunizations. That is one of the many approaches that immun-wize is trying to take: providing resources for people to access immunization information.
In response to the anonymous story, we are sorry that your son contracted whooping cough and hope he is doing better. Unfortunately, there are a few limitations to when and to whom immunizations can be given, but usually it is safer for those individuals not to receive immunizations until conditions permit. Again, we are sorry for your and your son's situations, but thank you for taking him in to get the vaccines as soon as he was able.

In February 2017, my immune system was not functioning correctly and my primary care physician did a N.A.E.T. Treatment with Laser Acupuncture and Auricular Acupuncture to try to desensitize my body from the different allergies and allergies to the metals. This procedure began to make me drained and very fatigued. He recommended that I have a GI Stool test done as I was having GI issues in February 2017, to check for parasites, pathogens, bacterial flora, and fungi/yeasts.
